Interconnectedness- What I believe in

Interconnectedness is a mirror. It reflects upon the same way of thinking, beliefs and values. It builds a community of the same circle where you come together, share and talk about your ideas and thoughts. It becomes a comfort zone of your own.

A creative person responds to the interconnectedness between all imaginable individuals and makes art works more beautiful and meaningful. Around this interconnectedness, people who are exploring arts will have an opportunity to improve their art work by getting new ideas, suggestions from each other. That way interconnectedness among people also makes our art work even more creative in the coming days. Creative work touches the heart of people in different ways or mediums.

Interconnectedness helps to bring stories from the diverse community and relate them to our own experiences and stories. Sometimes I feel alone when there are no people who think or beliefs the same way I do, and who are ready to hear me when I want to share something that has been bothering me for so long or how I am feeling about certain things. Then I seek for things or people who will make me feel, there are people around me. Each other’s work will inspire more people to create more art works in a meaningful way. When I started writing, I felt like I got a medium to express my feelings. I found no people around me who write, value poetry or listen to my work. Slowly I also got connected to the group of more poets. This let me explore more in the field of Arts. I got more exposure to the performances by not letting my words limited in just a piece of paper. I got more opportunities of attending writing workshops, performing on the various events and organizing programs. This has improved my writing skill as well. I am introduced to the diverse communities by travelling and working with young students from these diverse communities. My writing has improved as well. I feel like people also connect to their own life and thoughts when I share my stories on stage.

I am Deepa Bohara from Surkhet- a mid-western part of Nepal. I was born on 1998-04-08. I’ve been living with a chronic illness called Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) for 10 years now. Living with Lupus was never easy for me but I found my internal voice in words. In all that time, I’ve discovered Spoken Word poetry, been one of the winners of “Slamming in Surkhet” in 2013, and participated in the National Poetry Slam 2016. I chose this platform to express myself, share my journey and give a voice to my words. I believe that my feelings are living things and I should never let them die. I’ve become a member of Word Warriors- a Spoken Word Poetry collective in Nepal. I have travelled to more than 8 districts, performing poetry and working with hundreds of students spreading my love for poetry. I am a writer, spoken word poet and a bachelor student of Arts at Patan Multiple Campus, Lalitpur, Nepal. Currently, I have established my own business in my hometown. I am a CEO & Founder of CC Group of Company Pvt. Ltd. an IT company located at Birendranagar-4, Surkhet, Nepal.
